A list of MHGU mathematical weapons

Some remarks and observations from the data :

  • Congratulations on the fact that Insect Sword is the most balanced weapon! (median z value closest to 0). LBG was right behind it.
  • The most effective styles for GS, LS, HBG and bow are bravery. Hammer, HH and IG is the link between guild and bravery. The most effective styles for SnS, DB, Lance, SA and CB are Striker. The most effective style for LBG is Adept.
  • The GL enjoys a wide variety of styles, with the attacker, the follower and the brave at work.
  • Aviation and alchemy were used only once, for CB and SA respectively.
  • Onions should be a little higher than they should be,
  • Keep in mind that this is not an evaluation of the quality of a weapon, but the speed at which that weapon (+ style) can be used by the best to kill specific G-star monsters and deviants under very strict conditions. Also, the math I used was pretty flawed, and I probably made some mistakes here and there.

I was curious about the MHGU’s arms balance – apart from /u/jeck95 there weren’t that many resources. And I had too much time.

I made a list of the higher levels and sorted them according to the average sample of standardized points in each set of fastest points in the TA search. In order to calculate the average and standard deviation of the execution time of each query, I decided to exclude both the fastest and the longest mileage. They are divided into 0.5 categories (i.e. S for weapons with a Z value less than -2.0, A+ for weapons with a Z value less than -1.5, etc.) Only the TA-Wiki jogging was used.

(In fact, I couldn’t compare the Middle Ages because, surprisingly, there were no quests with a race for ALL weapons).

The data I use is collected as follows. For monsters, the value of a number indicates how many seconds it took to escape with the weapon.

2020 will satisfy both classic and modern players. To get on the list, the game must be confirmed for 2020, or there must be a good reason to expect it this year. Therefore, upcoming matches with a simple announcement and no recognizable release date will not be taken into account.
