How do you like wearing a military axe? Do you prefer to use an axe to hold a shield on the other side, or do you prefer to wear axes to fight a war and kill anything that gets in your way?
It doesn’t matter how you use this great weapon. If you’re here, you probably already know you want the best military axe.
The military axes are incredibly useful. They combine the power of a sledgehammer with the speed of a sword.
In fact, the military axes are a balanced mix of of the two attributes and are ideal for double ownership.
Anyway, in this post I’ve listed the best military axes in the game. Choose the weapon that suits you, but don’t forget that some of these weapons are unique and can only be found once.
20. Dwarf fighting axe
Although the War Axe Dwarf is the last one on our list, its power shows how powerful military axes can be.
He may be one of the weakest, but he can cope with 11 basic injuries and is already on level 12.
You will see bandits, thieves and robbers in the dungeon to equip them once you have reached the required level.
The design is very similar to the approach Dwemer has always chosen for his weapons and designs. As you can imagine, you can use dwarf metal to update and improve these axes as you wish.
19. Axe for a softer war
Usually the game uses the Falmer, this heavy hatchet is made of chitin and is often used by the Falmer being in the game, even in the early stages.
It has a rather ugly (but designed) design that resembles all the weapons and armour designed by the scary Falmer breed.
With a base damage of 11 points, the Falmer War Axe is one of the best war axes you can get and use at the beginning of the game.
18. Autumn fighter axe
The Dawnguard military axe has the same basic damage as the Falmer military axe, but weighs much less. That makes it the best place on my list because it’s much more useful.
It has the same design as the Dawnguards’ runes axe, but unlike its solar analogy, the Dawnguards’ war axe is neither charming nor unique.
On your way through history you will come across different versions of this axe.
17. Fighting axe
These terrifying axes can be found among the terrible strikers. You will encounter many of these weapons on your journey through the outer regions of Skyrim.
These axes resemble dwarves in weight and damage, but their design makes them very attractive because they consist of a saxophone-shaped sole with a pointed stone attached to it.
16. Draugra Brave Battle Axe
The sharp Draugr military axe has similar characteristics as most of the weapons already mentioned in this list, but because of its unique and beautiful design it occupies a higher position than the other weapons.
It resembles an axe from the old Northern War, except that it is mostly held by Draugre.
And with a basic injury of 12 points, the can cope with a significant injury of .
It can be easily upgraded with steel and you can find it at the beginning of the game if it has no level requirement and belongs to the Draugr of almost all Skyrim dungeons.
15. Skyforge Steel War Axe
The Skyforge axe moves and swings very fast because it is very light.
Although the Skyforge Steel War Axe doesn’t do much basic damage, it does more damage per second than any other weapon currently on the list.
It has the same shape as a normal steel military axe, but it has to be made on Skyforge. This is one of the best axes in the beginning of the game, but you’ll have to work hard to get them!
If you want to get them for free, you have to get acquainted with the Companions and ask them to deliver your weapons.
14. Moonplate axe
The Lunar Steel Battle Axe has the same design as the Skyforge Steel Battle Axe, with little base damage and a very low weight, like the traditional steel axe.
Like most other Lunar Steel weapons, it has a charm that burns targets, putting it at the top of the list.
It may not be the most powerful axe in the game, but it is incredibly useful and is located near the Silent Moon Camp.
13. Flying Axe
The sharpened Falmer hatchet is an advanced version of the traditional Falmer hatchet.
And, like its original analog, it can be made from chitin.
It offers more damage points, and although all types of phalmes tend to win it, it is more often used by higher members of the faction.
12. Elven fighter axe
The Elf combat axis has a high base damage and low weight, so it can be hit quickly and the damage is abundant.
It has a nice design and can only be found when you have reached level 19. But on level 20 you begin to find this weapon in the desert with spells.
You can also buy weapons from merchants and some blacksmiths, but only after you have met the level requirements.
11. Dawnguard runic axis
Although this axe is probably not the most powerful you can find in the game, it certainly has one of the finest examples of Skyrim’s weaponry.
It has a special magic that causes 10 extra points of damage to the sun, but only affects the undead.
In the same way becomes more powerful , the more undead you kill!
It’s not better on my list because the base damage is relatively low, making it a pretty mediocre weapon against any inanimate opponent.
10. Picasso toothed
The toothpick is the only weapon on this list that has not earned its title because of damage, spells or use in battle.
The pick increases the forging of players, but also gives you the ability to inflict additional shock damage to your opponent if you want to use this weapon on the battlefield.
You’ll find this weapon at the top of the Peace Gorge, so be prepared for a long journey if you want to get your hands on this rather weak but useful weapon.
9. Northern axis
The beautiful Northern War Axe was included in the Dragonborn update, and its design is one of Skyrim’s most unique and effective weapons.
You can make it in a smithy if you have the necessary materials, but keep in mind that the main type of steel used to make these weapons is mercury.
You also need traditional steel and leather belts.
It has basic damage similar to most of the weapons mentioned here, but due to its construction and weight it occupies a higher position than the other axes considered so far.
8. Glass axe
Don’t be fooled by your name, Glass Axe offers heavy damage to and can only be found when you reach level 27.
As with many of the other basic weapons in the game, once you reach the required level, you will begin to see how enemies and bandits possess them.
He can strike quickly because he only weighs 16 points. It also has a beautiful design and is incredibly functional in battle.
It can be made and upgraded with refined malachite, but you can also find it up to level 27 by storming Northwatch and keeping it for yourself and stealing it.
7. Former Scandinavian pick
Why is a gun with only five wounds so high on our list? The answer is very simple: The old Scandinavian pickaxe can be used for the extraction of stalhrim.
In fact, it is the only type of pickaxe in the game that can do this, so this weapon is your access to some of the best weapons and armor in the game.
It has a damage base of 5 and no spells, so it is highly recommended to use this weapon only if you intend to obtain valuable material – it will not be used in battle!
6. Ebony military axe
With a damage base of 15, Ebony’s hatchet is one of the most powerful in the game.
You have to be level 36 to find them, but his strength will make him a loyal companion on every journey.
And it’s guaranteed to serve until you get your hands on a better weapon, like a stalrim or a dragon axe.
5. Stalhrim Battle Axe
As you can imagine, Stalhrim’s hatchet must be created with the help of Stalhrim.
You may need the old Scandinavian Picax before you can make these weapons.
It’s 15 damage and is ideal for frost damage spells, because Stalhrim makes them 25% more powerful than any other weapon in the game.
The design of a decent weapon, although it is brute force that sets it apart.
4. Daedric military axe
Deadrick’s guns are still at the top of most lists, and there’s a good reason for that.
Their basic damage is too great and their design makes them worthy of the worst warriors.
Double possession of this weapon causes a lot of damage, but you have to be level 47 before you can find it.
Okin has base 11 damage, but his charm makes him such a powerful companion.
It is a unique weapon – the Scandinavian axe of war, with 10 points of frost damage, which affects both the health and stamina of the enemy.
You can only get Okin’s Axe if you have defeated Kvenel, the town hall in the ruins of Volundrud.
In order to obtain a weapon, you must complete the search for the Silent Language.
This weapon will serve you well for most of the game, even with its low base damage of 12 points.
2. Dragon bone warrior axe
Of all the common military axes in the game, the dragon bone axe is the one that does the most damage.
Double possession of this weapon is probably the wisest way to cut off an enemy’s flesh, no matter how strong it is.
It is added to the Dawnguard CSD and must be completed after reaching level 100 of the forge and using the bones of killed dragons.
It’s 16 base damage, so make sure you shake it hard and hit it well against any opponent that stands in your way.
Surprisingly, Hoarfrost sells only 5 points of basedamage.
It has a unique old Scandinavian Picax, but unlike its other two counterparts, you can use the prince in battle.
This causes 15 points of damage to health and stamina, and there is a chance that they will be frozen with every hit.
Its light weight allows it to be tilted just as quickly, so use it wisely and watch your enemies’ bodies fall like flies. And don’t forget that the initial basic damage can sometimes be misleading.
